Conveniently located outside the courthouse, to the east of the postal service mailbox, there is a Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone drop box attached to the railing. The box is checked frequently and items in the box will be date stamped for that day.

Responsibilities
The Human Service Zone is a department of the Barnes County government that has been designated by law to provide assistance and services to the citizens of Barnes County,
The majority of the services/programs offered by the county are done in conjunction with the state and the federal agencies, particularly the North Dakota Department of Human Services.
Services
Buffalo Bridges Human Services Zone provides a wide range of services including both social services and economic assistance programs. Some Services are provided directly by county employees and others are provided through contracts.
